At the age of 14 months, KB Omega Fahim++ earned his first Championship at the 1997 Pacific Coast Arabian Sport Horse Classic. The division was Sport Horse In Hand and included stallions of all ages. It is highly unusual for a yearling to win over mature horses. Meg was not shown again until 2000, where he was again chosen Champion Sport Horse In Hand at the Golden Gate Arabian Horse Association show and the Diablo Arabian Horse Association show.

With those three Championships under his belt, it was time to begin Meg's performance career. We concentrated on endurance conditioning while schooling dressage. At the age of 4 years, he completed his first endurance ride of 25 miles at the Lassen Challenge. In 2001 Meg was a part of my cross-country (literally) XP2001 team and added approximately 200 more miles to his credit. He proved to be a very reliable and steady partner for all those miles. Continuing his performance career in the show ring at the local level, Meg has won in Halter, Trail Horse, English Pleasure and English Equitation. He even tied for English Hi-Point in his 2nd performance show.

In March of 2002, Meg performed in his first dressage show. He showed in training level, receiving a 70% in test four. Other highlights of that test were a score of 10 in one movement and a score of 8 in gaits in the collective marks. Two months later, he again showed training level earning 77.692% and 79.6%. Also, showing first level for the first time, he earned two scores of 69.+%. With these scores, he received two high percentage show awards.

The rest of 2002 was spent on the endurance trail. We completed 450 miles combining two multi day rides in Nevada and Utah.

In 2003, we set the goal of the 2003 Region III Arabian Sport Horse Championships. First we had to qualify, which we did at the Diablo AHA show. Wins in first level dressage and placings in Sport Horse Stallion In Hand, Sport Horse Under Saddle and Sport Horse Show Hack, earned our way into the Regional Championship Show. At the Region III Arabian Championship Show, Meg was awarded the Championship in First Level Dressage and Sport Horse In Hand for Stallions. He also was Reserve Champion in Sport Horse Show Hack and Top Five (third) in Sport Horse Under Saddle.

At the tender young age of seven, all of these accomplishments put KB Omega Fahim++ well over the number of points he needed to receive the AHA "LEGION OF HONOR."

Our next goal for 2003 was to be recognized as an approved Arabian stallion for purebred Shagya-Arabian mares in the North American Shagya Association (NASS). Proudly, Meg was accepted with the impressive score of 8.0 and is, now, only the second Arabian stallion to be approved in the USA!

On a genetic note, KB Omega Fahim++ was DNA tested at UC Davis and proved to be a homozygous true black.

As a serious breeder of using horses, Kerrigan Bloodstock believes in proving breeding stock in conformation, performance and temperament. KB Omega Fahim++ has certainly proven himself as worthy to pass on his heritage and the winning tradition of Kerrigan Bloodstock.
